Summer Actor Training Program Registration now open! Summer Actor Training Program 2013 at Kingsport Theatre Guild For the past six years The Drifting Theatre has brought professional theatre artists from all over the country to the Tri-Cities to teach and mentor young actors. During S.A.T.P. 2013 students will work in depth on honing their acting and performance skills. This challenging (and fun) program provides an environment where both the seasoned actor and the stage-shy newcomer can blossom. During the programs students will have the choice to participate in a variety of classes including; Acting (various levels and styles), Stage Combat, Theatre Movement, Improvisation, Auditioning, Flag Twirling, Dance Choreography, Theatre Games, Monologue Coaching, Shakespeare and more! The training program will culminate with the students presenting the world premiere production of the comedy, The Language of the Birds. Teen S.A.T.P. for Ages 12-18 - June 14th - 30th Auditions and Opening Meeting - Friday June 14th @ 6:00pm. Classes/Rehearsals - Monday, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays & Fridays, June 17-28 from 11:00am - 5:00pm. Final Dress Rehearsal June 28th @ 6pm. Performances June 29 & 30 @ 2:30pm and 7:30pm Junior S.A.T.P. for Ages 7-12 - June 14th - 30th Auditions and Opening Meeting - Friday June 14th @ 6:00pm.
